Taylor releases 2nd music video, shot in Colombia….

In November of 2021, Taylor flew from Los Angeles to Medellin, Colombia to record an album with Rob Lafond in 10 days. On day 4 they traveled to the remote countryside in San Felix to record "The Truth" and "Irish Lullaby" in a tiny house. This music video features live footage from recording in the tiny house, as well as picturesque arial footage of the countryside. During this trip, Taylor and Rob also ventured to La Honda, one of the most disadvantaged neighborhoods in Medellin, to volunteer at Un Paso Adelante, a school founded by Mi Barrio Mi Sueno to serve the children of La Honda during the peak of the global pandemic. They took moto-taxis in the rain to climb the steep mountain road to the one room school house in La Honda. Taylor wrote "The Truth" in June of 2020, while the world was on "lockdown" at the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic. It was a time of shock, confusion and lots of fear. Taylor discovered that she couldn't tell what the truth was anymore.... So she decided to find her own truth and wrote this song to process the feelings. Sometimes it's helpful to just turn off the news and take a walk outside.

Taylor releases her first music video….

Sometimes beautiful things must come to an end…

A story of the end of a relationship or even the idea of relationship... Taylor Dahl's 2nd album, It's Alright, dropped in June of 2023. The album itself was recorded with Rob LaFond in Medellin and San Felix, Colombia. This beautiful music video of Taylor's song "Irish Lullaby" was shot by the talented Ashley Kristine Guillem and features Asia Colvin, Elissa Moser Linowes and Isaiah Brody. Shot in Malibu, Topanga and Point Dume.

Taylor Dahl’s ‘Love Song For HP’ premieres today; First single for her debut album, ‘Spinnaker Street’ (June 2nd, 2020, HearNow): listen to the single here

Los Angeles artist Taylor Dahl has today confirmed details of her anticipated album ‘Spinnaker Street’, which will be released on June 2nd by CD Baby on HearNow… The first official single, ‘Love Song for HP’, also premieres today -- an intimate and poignant musical backdrop for those seeking heart and commiseration in quarantine. Unveiled today, ‘Love Song for HP’ is a startling introduction to Taylor Dahl’s debut album, ‘Spinnaker Street’, which ventures into deep emotional territory even as it conjures the artist’s musical roots. The single already has the feel of Dahl’s many strong musical influences, and her searing honesty, wit and soul searching lyrics make this a career-defining debut. Hinting at her affinity for Joni Mitchell, Sara Bareilles, Indigo Girls and Natalie Imbruglia and peppered with rawly honest lyricism, her original songs blend folk, rock and acoustic soul. A lifelong singer-songwriter now in her 30s, Dahl was born in Berkeley, but has been residing and performing in Los Angeles since 2001.

“Some might say I’m a soulful singer with sweet melodies that make your heart feel cozy at home by the fire,” says siren-esque Ms. Dahl. “Don’t be fooled by the sweet soul wrenching love songs -- I can also really rock.”

Songstress About Town:

Answering the call of many local Los Angeles fans, Taylor Dahl has played prolifically at intimate venues like Unurban Coffee Shop, Bin 41, and the Indigo House. She’s also taken the stage at classic LA live music venues, such as Bar Lubitsch, The Viper Room, Genghis Cohen and the Hotel Cafe. At South By Southwest Festival, Dahl has headlined a Spectrum Cable event for two years in a row. Dahl’s musical honesty and heart-baring writing have received early accolades, including a 3rd place award at the acclaimed House of Hope Talent Show.

Lee Garrett (co-writer with Stevie Wonder of "Signed, Sealed, Delivered") was so impressed by Dahl’s show at the Viper Room he personally endorsed her as a performer.
